The ECTRIMS Council is the governing membership body of the organisation. Members must be active multiple sclerosis researchers residing in European ECTRIMS membership countries and are nominated by the national neurological association and/or the board of the national multiple sclerosis association or society in each membership country, according to the terms of the ECTRIMS bylaws.
In addition, Honorary Members of the Council may be nominated, based on their outstanding contributions to the field of MS, their support of ECTRIMS and their acknowledged international reputation in the field.
